The power of partnership
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, remote working was leveraged into a new dimension. Hiring international talent and paying them in locally preferred payment methods became key for international growth.
“The way people work is fundamentally changing. And it’s not going back”? said Dan Westgarth, COO at Deel.
Our partnership started in February 2020, when Deel integrated dLocal’s payout solution in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. By December the same year, dLocal and Deel were already partnering in Chile, China, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, and Bangladesh. Over the last 12 months, the partnership expanded into India, Egypt, Nigeria, Philippines, Pakistan, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, and last but not least, our hometown Uruguay.
By choosing dLocal as its Payment Service Provider (“PSP”), Deel has chosen a growth partner that enables them to overcome the complexity of the markets it operates in and move at speed to leverage new growth opportunities.
“We work with a lot of vendors, but only a few are true partners, and dLocal is one of our growth partners that play a role in allowing us to enter high growth markets such as Brazil and India.
Dan Westgarth, COO at Deel

“It’s absolutely critical for our business to be able to make payments seamlessly across different countries. dLocal’s One API and the great team made it so simple to integrate new countries, we were able to launch over 19 countries in the past 2 years.” said Dan Westgarth, COO at Deel.
